The Sagra delle Pizzole in Anguillara Sabazia is back. It is one of the most anticipated gastronomic events of the summer on Lake Bracciano. On Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August 2026, the IX edition of this event will take place, organised with passion by the Rione Castello with the patronage of the Municipality of Anguillara Sabazia and the Pro Loco.

In Anguillara, a lake-view weekend with the Sagra delle Pizzole: the two-day programme

The Sagra delle Pizzole 2026 will be hosted in the Giardini del Torrione, in the historic centre of Anguillara Sabazia. This location will provide the backdrop for two evenings of tradition, conviviality and good food, perfect for the whole family.

What are Pizzole?

For those who do not know them, Pizzole are a real treat of the local tradition. They are soft discs of leavened dough, fried on the spot in boiling oil until they reach the perfect golden brown. During the festival, they can be enjoyed in different variations.

The savoury pizzole are filled with typical cold cuts, melted cheese, seasonal vegetables and delicious gastronomic specialities. For those who love sweet treats, pizzole can be covered in sugar, hazelnut cream or other fillings.
